| Castro to Relinquish Cuban Presidency
Prior to the Soviet Union's collapse, support from the Kremlin sustained Cuba as a socialist outpost on the doorstep of the United States, and placed Castro and his country in the middle of events central to the Cold War, including the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Cuban missile crisis. Those long-standing animosities colored Tuesday's announcement and U.S. reaction to it. Castro said leaving office was a hard step for him given all that his "adversary" -- the United States -- had done over the years to try to get rid of him, including assassination plots. President Bush, asked about the news in a public appearance during his trip to Africa, said: "The question really should be what does this mean for the people in Cuba. They are the ones who suffered under Fidel Castro." Bush said he hoped this would be "the beginning of a democratic transition for the people of Cuba ...

Growing up I used the N word only a few times. Yet all of the guys I played football and basketball with used it in about every other sentence. They of course were Aftican-American and that is just how it is. My use was really my personal discovery that it was not OK for a white boy to use that word. .

Music celebrities are all in LA this week getting ready for the Grammys. Yesterday began the first day of "Backstage at the Grammys." Celebrities on hand were Shawn and Kim Wayans, Chingy, Chrisette Michelle ,Tank, Lil' Mama, Rick Ross, Three Six Mafia and more. "The Trey the Chocolate Jock More Jump-off" is one of the many radio shows on hand conducting interviews and, of course, my girl morning show co-host, Kendra G. checked in with me.
Tank pretty much confirmed that the "TGT" album, (Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank) will be out no time soon! Without naming which member Tank said in so many words that there is an ego problem going on and that the money should be split evenly amongst all three people. I can't say, but Tyrese is very excited about the project.

George W. Bush: Hillary's Biggest Booster?
This is not the first time Bush has rescued the Clintons. After they left the White House, both the former president and the new senator had low ratings in the polls. Beset by scandal — the White House gifts, the pardons-for-sale, the payments to Hillary's brothers for pardons, the Hasidic vote-for-pardon scandal, and Bill's no contest plea to obstructing justice — Bill and Hillary were sucking wind.
But Bush swept in for the rescue, picking the former president off the ash heap of history and elevating him to parity with his father in a two-former-president effort to raise funds for the tsunami victims. By giving him a respected place alongside a former president of unquestioned integrity, Bush gave Clinton a tremendous way to climb out of disgrace and into the limelight.
Then, when the tsunami relief effort was winding down, he re-enlisted former president Clinton to work with his father again on helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
